At Smart City Tutors, we know that a one-size-fits-all approach doesn’t work when it comes to test preparation, which is why our tutors work closely with students and families to create individualized plans to help all students meet their full potential. Our tutors are specialized in teaching new content and test-taking strategies, giving targeted feedback, and guiding students through deliberate practice. Over the past decade, Smart City Tutors has helped hundreds of students improve their scores, feel confident about testing, and develop study skills they’ll use on this test and beyond.

In our world today, executive functioning skills are more important than ever. To be successful, students must know how to set and achieve goals, make study plans, focus their attention, remember instructions, and juggle multiple tasks and responsibilities effectively. Our Executive Function tutors are specially trained to support students with exactly that. Our EF tutors have been trained in using the SMARTS program, and have extensive resources to support students in developing executive functioning skills. Additionally, our tutors have years of experience working with a range of types of learners, including students with special needs, and have a deep understanding of how to help students build tools to be independent and take control of their own education.

In addition to private one-on-one tutoring, Smart City Tutors also offers Group Tutoring opportunities in a variety of subject areas. Group tutoring is advantageous for several reasons, one of which is the reduced cost to your family for quality tutoring sessions. In addition, Group Tutoring can present an opportunity for peer collaboration and group problem-solving while mastering a difficult topic.

As demand dictates, we offer pre-scheduled group tutoring sessions that your child can join as long as available spots exist. If your child already has a group of peers interested in attending tutoring sessions together – or if you don’t see a pre-scheduled class that works for your schedule – we are happy to work with you to create a course that works for your family.
